Brief Two - Living State Products

Today we were introduced to our second brief. The brief was to Identify a product, a product use or identify an unmet need and through investigation of human anatomy propose conceptual ideas which harness this anatomical life within the function of the product.

We were told that we could take two approaches:
  1. A specific function of the product has a living attribute of anatomy when in use
  2. The product grows or evolves in line with the user’s needs

For this brief I decided that I would do a medical syringe. My ideas in which surrounded the need of a specific function to give a product a living attribute was to create a syringe which would reduce harm to users and others.

Below I have enlisted my ideas.
  1. A retractable needle
  2. A disposable needle after use
  3. A needle which replaces the disposable one.
  4. A device that helps drug addicts come off drugs
  5. Vein Detection
  6. Detecting Problem with blood
